Theme Description

Themeover’s first of many graphics packs. This graphics pack for Microthemer contains a number of semi-transparent PNG groove graphics for creating a textured groove effect on backgrounds of any color or brightness. This pack contains background images for creating horizontal or vertical grooves. It also contains diagonal grooves useful for creating a diagonal textured background. Because these graphics are semi-transparent, they allow the background color to shine through. This makes them flexible enough to be useful under most circumstances.

1. Some Tips on Creating Grooves

Each type of groove (horizontal, vertical, diagonal) comes in 6 different shades for 6 different shades of background: lightest, lighter, light, dark, darker, and darkest. Use "lightest" with a very light-colored background and "darkest" with very dark backgrounds. The other shades are for somewhere in between.

Creating a Horizontal Groove

  1. Select one of the hor-groove-x graphics from the background images drop-down menu in the Microthemer UI
  2. Select a position for the graphic to start from (e.g. "Top Left").
  3. Select "repeat-x" from the repeat drop-down menu

Creating a Vertical Groove

  1. Select one of the vert-groove-x graphics from the background images drop-down menu in the Microthemer UI
  2. Select a position for the graphic to start from (e.g. "Top Left").
  3. Select "repeat-y" from the repeat drop-down menu

Creating a Diagonal Textured Background

  1. Select one of the diag-groove-x graphics from the background images drop-down menu in the Microthemer UI
  2. Select "repeat" from the repeat drop-down menu
